Raw vs Roasted

Almond Butter

It’s pretty delicious.  Last week, I was talking to a friend about almond butter, our favorite brands, cost, deliciousness, etc. He said he prefers raw almond butter.  So when I stopped by Trader Joe’s on my way home from Thanksgiving, I got a jar of raw almond butter to see which one I liked better.

VS

I think I like the regular roasted Almond Butter better.  I mean they both obviously taste like almonds but the roasted one is smoother and has a more distinct taste.

Are there any health benefits to eating it raw vs roasted?  Which do you prefer?

Woo hoo! Thanks for “featuring” me 🙂

I prefer raw almond butter– to me, the texture tastes a little chunkier, but still smooth.

But basically I’ll eat any nut butter, any which way 🙂

Either or, TJs is definitely one of my favorite almond butters. Have you ever tried Justin’s Nut Butters? Oh man. So good.

I tried making my own almond butter a few weeks ago and I really, really like the taste of it. It’s so easy and I like the rawness of it, like Anna says.

I haven’t tried Justin’s Nut Butters. I’ll have to look out for them (not hard to do since I go to the grocery store almost everyday…)

I’ve been wanting to make my own almond butter too! That will probably be my project for when I run out of the jar I’m currently consuming

I like the roasted one better. I don’t think there’s any difference in term of nutritional value between them, just a matter of preference.
