I woke up this morning to a TON of snow! It’s so lovely!! So I slipped on my stylish new snow boots (over my pajamas) and headed out to take some pictures. I was chic:

I’ve been a busy bee as of recent. I have a presentation for my land use class tonight and my group poster is a DISASTER! I hate group projects but mostly jerks who can’t work with others.
After that I will be working on my stats paper… When it comes to stats I sort of feel like this:

While part of my December Recipe Challenge was to hold off on baking sweets, my friend Liz’s birthday is today! Happy Birthday Liz!

So this weekend, my roommate and I are hosting an Ugly Sweater/Liz’s Birthday Party. What kind of a birthday party would it be without the cake??
So if I’m only going to bake one thing then it better be good! She said her favorite cake is anyone that she doesn’t have to bake. So that leaves me with a blank slate!
I need suggestions for an amazing birthday cake! Cupcakes are also appreciated!

Ok so I haven’t made this cake every, but I always wanted to make it. I just think it looks really pretty and well its festive. Even though it is a birthday, you just can’t get around the fact that it is the christmas season. =)

Omg, I feel you on group projects. To make the last one I was in doubly worse – it was for a STATS CLASS! Yuck! I was so traumatized I wrote an article about it for the paper I write for, and for some reason following that things were all good…I think they got the message. 😉 Also the snow has officially hit Vermont as well…at some point today, I will have to dig out my vehicle.

I never assign group projects in my classes, because I always find that when I do, INEVITABLY half of the group (or less) busts their asses, and the other half (or more) do nothing. It builds for a tense presentation, that’s for sure 🙂

I love ugly sweater parties! We’ve never called it that, per say, but usually “Holiday Sweater” party is what we say. Anyway, the thrift store has perfect outfits this time of year! Sometimes I wonder what were we thinking when these were cool…
