Finally Ready For Classes To Start

I’ve had enough.

I’m getting tired of sitting around and doing nothing.

I’m officially ready for classes to start again.

I know I’ll regret this tomorrow night when I start reading for my first classes but as of now, I’m over it.  I think I’ve been a little anxious all day because I’ve been very snacky, but I think I’ve kept it to an okay level.

One of my many snacks today was this:

What is that?

No, Stonyfield hasn’t started making Pumpkin Flavored Greek Yogurt (although they probably should).   Actually, it’s my version of Caitlin‘s Pumpkin Yogurt (her version uses equal parts yogurt and pumpkin).

Stonyfield sent me some coupons for yogurt samples so they were perfect to give pumpkin yogurt a try. Thanks Stonyfield!

I used a small 5.3oz container of Oikos non-fat greek yogurt mixed with 1/4 cup of canned pumpkin (not easy to come by these days as there as been a pumpkin shortage in upstate NY!) and 1 tablespoon of Agave nectar.  All that goodness for only 160 calories (80 for the yogurt + 20 for the pumpkin + 60 for the agave nectar!  Wonderful sweet treat!

Delish!  Give it a try!

What’s your favorite way to enjoy greek yogurt?

I’ve literally done nothing all day, and I’m starting to get restless so I think I’m going to go to the gym (even though I didn’t plan on exercising today) to get my mind off upcoming classes and basically just get my blood flowing.

Hope you had a great weekend!

Hey lady. Look, I’m the first comment!

Did Stonyfield randomly send you coupons or was it some sort of thing to get you to try them and then promote them?

My aunt from California is currently visiting and I have two more aunts and a cousin from Mexico on the way. They should be here soon actually. Maybe I should clean…

Mmmmm…looks delicious! Did you have to sign up for those coupons, or did they just send them to you?

GOOD LUCK with your first day of classes!

Haha, I’m the same way! Whenever I get time off from work, I’m totally over it after a day or two. Not so much school, since whenever I don’t have classes I’m working, anyways 😛

I keep wanting to try that pumpkin yogurt, but I only have a HUGE can of pumpkin right now, so I’m waiting until I’m really craving pumpkin, or am at least planning some baking, before I open it up, lol.
I’ll spare you the details of how I enjoy Greek yogurt, though – I think you’ve seen & read about it enough from me.

Have fun with your first day of classes tomorrow! First days always seem to e hurry up and wait for me- usually just going over syllabuses which leads to getting out way too early and having to wait around for the next class!

We only have full fat greek yogurt over here, can you believe it?? Needless to say that I don’t really eat it but it’s almost the first thing I look for when I’m abroad :).

I am tired of sitting around too.. except I don’t get to start school until August because I just moved. Sigh, I am looking for a job as we speak. I am hoping I find one soon because I am getting very tired of not being productive. Yogurt is one of my favorite foods. I could eat it every day I believe 🙂

I’ve been mixing about 1/4 cup of oats with yogurt or almond milk, flax meal, protein powder, superfood, cinnamon and nuts or raisins.Set in fridge for a few hours or over night. Then I warm it in the microwave for just about 20 sec. and stir almond butter in. I’ve stirred in 1/2 mashed banana, pumpkin, apple sauce or stevia to sweeten. The possibilities are endless 🙂 Make for a quick breakfast that I usually eat in the car, oops.
